Tired of Top 40? Bored with classic disco? If you've had enough of mediocre mainstream monotony in Jakarta then join the Jakarta Foreign Correspondents Club for a night with some of the best independent bands in the country. Come see what the buzz is all about as we kick it off with the winner of Tempo magazine's best album of 2009, Tika and the Dissidents at 9 PM. After that at 10 PM, also from Jakarta, get ready to party with Kid Immigrant, whose raucous live performances have earned them a solid following on the indie circuit. Last up at 11 PM, watch Bali's own Navicula set the stage ablaze with their own brand of rock that takes grunge to a whole new level.

And, if that wasn't enough, starting at midnight three of the city's top club acts, DJ Ai Tumbuan, Ninda Felina & Tommy Cobrazil, will close the night out for those who still have the energy to hit the dance floor.

All in all a night not to be missed. This event is open to the public and all proceeds will go to the JFCC Memorial Fund set up to help develop the reporting and investigative skills of Indonesian journalists. Find out why Indonesia has become the hottest market in the region for incredible musical talent and help nurture local journalistic talent at the same time. Not too heavy, not too light. Just right.
