Through the band competition Planetrox, the festival also invites music representatives from 15 Countries: Canada, United States, France, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Australia, Ireland, Italy, Czech Republic, Japan, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, and South Korea. Navicula are the Indonesia winners of Planetrox 2012 and will represent Indonesia at the festival.

To enter the festival, Navicula chose the music video “Orangutan”, a song that was released to support the conservation of the critically endangered orangutan. Navicula has long been advocates for environmental campaigns, and they are planning to take their campaign for orangutan conservation on the road during their tour in Canada to raise more awareness about the issue on an International level.

Navicula is scheduled to perform twice during Envol et Macadam Festival on Saturday, September 8th. They will be extending their tour in Canada to Montreal and Toronto, and are available for gigs or media appearances in Canada from September 6-16.
