We usually just post gigs in the Upcoming Gigs section… but because Robi spent all night hand drawing the event poster, we really wanted to share it with you!!! So… checkout Rock-art below We’re playing with 3 awesome jam bands this Friday at Bugils. Bugils is located in Tuban, about 5 min from the airport (just across the street from Harris Hotel). We had a great time there with the same lineup a few months ago, click here to check out the pics from the last gig. Bugils has dropped the price on beers this Friday, especially to make sure you reach the right state of consciousness to enjoy the drunken mayhem happening on stage.  The first band goes on at 8pm, the event is expected to be rockin till around midnight. So be there!!

Pesta para bugil terjadi malam 24 April 2009, di Tuban – Kuta. Totally rocked out!! Beers, Girls, and Rock n Roll Rules! Acara dibuka oleh John “Jon” & Friends, yang ngebawain sejumlah cover dari Stone Temple Pilots, Audioslave, hingga lagu2 blues klasik, lalu dilanjutkan oleh aksi side proyekan Gembull & Made yang berkolaborasi dengan Edward Andrews, seorang guru musik di Bali International School, yang membawa sejumlah lagu original bergenre Punk Rock. Proyekan ini bernama Alpha Jerk. Baru aja rekaman dan ntar lagi udah bisa didengerin hasilnya.

Di penghujung acara, Navicula menggeber lantai kayu di tingkat dua yang mulai begoyang-goyang karena overload pengunjung. Yap, para Bugil alias Bule Gila udah pada mabuk gara-gara udah minum sejak jam 6 sore tadinya (Happy hours!) dan ready to rock!  Café, venue tempat pesta ini juga bernama Café Bugils, yang malam itu pertama kalinya dihajar musik cadas.

Kita masang sendiri alat-alat/soundsystem di venue ini sore tadinya, abis main bongkar and transporting balik malam harinya.  Speaker, amps dan mixer disumbangin sama John “Jon”, sedangkan Drums, mics, dan tambahan amps disumbangin sama si Edward. Yeah, really long night yang melelahkan, abis ngedrop alat-alat ke Sanur, balikin mobil pickup, beli makanan, dan nyampe rumah udah jam 5 pagi. Fiuuh… tidur cuma sejam nih…gara-gara ntar pagi jam 7 saya sudah harus siap-siap lagi jadi event organizer buat festival Earth Day di Ubud, dan para kru dari Dewata TV yang janji bakal meliput kegiatan ini akan nyampe di rumah jam 7 teng!
But, fuck yeahh… asal uday enjoy ma musik, sleep is the enemy!!
